No pressure to decide. You do not have to choose or pay for an immersion with this offer. If you would like to secure a seat early, you can pay its fee along with your tuition fee, as seats are limited. More seats may open later, and you can also choose an immersion during the programme. The Early Bird discount applies to the tuition fee only, not to immersion fees.
Are immersions compulsory? Can I choose more than one?
No, they are optional. You can choose one or more, subject to seat availability and as long as their schedules do not clash.
Are the immersion dates final?
Not yet. The timelines are tentative and may change. We will tell you about any change in advance.
Do I need to pay for an immersion now?
No. You can secure a seat early by paying the immersion fee along with your tuition fee, as seats are limited. More seats may open later, and you can also choose an immersion during the programme, subject to availability. There is no pressure either way.
Does the Early Bird discount apply to immersions?
No. The 12.5% Early Bird discount applies to the tuition fee only. Immersion fees are separate and are not included in any tuition amount.
What does the immersion fee cover?
It varies by immersion, and each one lists what is not included. For international immersions, costs such as flights, visa, insurance, airport transfers, accommodation and meals may not be included.
How do I keep up with classes during an immersion?
You get recordings of the classes you miss, complete the set catch-up work and submit session summaries where required. Your academic credits and requirements are managed through the regular academic process.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. When you complete an immersion, you receive a separate immersion completion certificate. It is independent of your academic transcript.
Can I take part in placements during an immersion?
Yes. You keep access to placement activities. If one falls during your immersion, you can take part remotely wherever possible.
What should I know about international travel?
Masters’ Union helps you with your visa application. Visa costs, accommodation and other travel expenses vary by immersion, as listed in each immersion’s details.
Is the immersion fee refundable if I withdraw after opting in?
It depends on whether the immersion goes ahead as planned. If the plan is unchanged, the immersion fee is not refundable. If Masters’ Union substantially changes or cancels the immersion, the applicable fee is refunded.
